ForumPiscine: preview of the 16th edition of the International pool and spa exhibition
From February 12 to 14, ForumPiscine will return to BolognaFiere as a leading event, featuring an exhibition area, live shows, a congress, and – a new addition for 2025 – the Pool Builders Days, specifically for builders, designers, and installers. The event will be part of the broader XLeisure framework, an exhibition and cultural format dedicated to exploring new market horizons for enhancing leisure time with a focus on relaxation, wellness, and sports.
Bologna, September 2024 – ForumPiscine, International Pool and Spa Expo& Congress, is set to expand and refresh its format, taking place at BolognaFiere's Halls 21 and 22 from February 12 to 14, 2025. Starting next year, the event – the sole exhibition and congress platform for the pool and spa sector – will be integrated into the broader XLeisure framework, a new business, networking, and educational platform for all things leisure.
In addition to ForumPiscine, this innovative and strategic format will also feature ForumClub, the 26th edition of the international B2B exhibition for the professional community of fitness clubs, sports centers, and wellness areas. Outex - Outdoor Experience will also return, providing an experiential and interactive platform focused on the latest trends and systems for transforming outdoor spaces into stylish, comfortable, and inviting environments.
KEY THEMES FOR THE 2025 EDITION: INTERNATIONALISM, INNOVATION, AND NETWORKING
The 16th edition of ForumPiscine will bring together producers, builders, distributors, facility managers, buyers, professionals, and technicians from the sector, with an increasing international focus and tailored proposals for the Italian pool market.
The event will continue to excel in its blend of exhibition areas, conferences, and cultural moments, showcasing cutting-edge and eco-sustainable technologies for the construction of today’s swimming pools.
A key new feature of the program is the Pool Builders Days, set to debut in 2025. This initiative will aim to enhance the role of pool builders and designers through intercultural exchanges among delegations from various countries, a series of conferences, and a roundtable dedicated to pool and spa design. The goal is to highlight the increasingly complex and essential role of these professionals, particularly in their ability to integrate diverse and highly specialized skills.
As part of a continuously evolving program that reaffirms the strategic importance of the event for both the national and international community, a new series of roundtable discussions will be introduced. These sessions, set to feature rotating representatives from the international press under the International Pool & Spa Press Alliance, will run from this edition onward. The goal is to provide an overview of the latest global developments in the pool industry.
This year, the inaugural roundtable will include representatives from Piscinas Hoy (Spain), who will discuss the measures their country is implementing to address its severe water crisis, and Schwimmbad und Sauna (Germany), who will highlight the national strategies being adopted to mitigate the impacts of the ongoing economic, water, and energy crises.
On a related note, ForumPiscine 2025 once again proves to be a key event for presenting and discussing major regulatory updates affecting the industry. In collaboration with the National Institute of Health — the body responsible for regulating the Pool & Spa sector — the new legislative framework that will replace the current one will be unveiled. This new regulation will revise the agreement between the State and Regions, resulting in significant changes to the existing rules. It's an unmissable opportunity for companies with an interest in the Italian market.
On the exhibition front, the 2025 edition of the Expo will once again feature the Live Shows, where participating companies will have the opportunity to showcase their latest and most exciting technological innovations in products and services. These will include solutions for pool construction, such as EPS or mineralization techniques, as well as new approaches from Italian operators for designing and developing environmentally sustainable installations.
There will also be a showcase dedicated to the most innovative products for pools and spas, along with interactive Experiential Areas, featuring dynamic and engaging presentations of new market offerings. Notably, the collaboration with AIAPP (Italian Association of Landscape Architecture) has been confirmed for 2025, with the organization curating the experiential installation “H2OUTSIDE”. This project will involve a group of students from the University of Florence, led by a professor and an expert landscape architect, and aims to present practical water-use solutions for outdoor spaces in hospitality venues such as agritourisms, hotels, and campsites.
