ForumPiscine: see you in 2021

5,000 visitors, over 80 exhibitors from Italy and abroad and about 100 training events and congress sessions: ForumPiscine 2020 has successfully come to an end. The 12th edition of the International Pool & Spa Expo and Congress was held, in its "Gallery" version, from 19 to 21 of February at Bologna Fiere.

Innovation, sustainability and a constant look to the future: these are the key concepts that inspired the twelfth edition of ForumPiscine, International Pool & Spa Expo and Congress, held at Bologna Fiere from 19 to 21 February with great satisfaction of the exhibitors and the public - 5,000 visitors registered during 3 days - and high quality of in-depth initiatives and training. Promoted in its "Gallery" version to maximize the exchange of content between exhibiting companies and visiting operators, the only Italian b2b event dedicated to the aquatic world has once again confirmed itself as an essential appointment for all professionals and operators interested to discuss and analyse the prospects of a growing sector, increasingly oriented towards the utmost attention to issues of energy efficiency and environmental protection. In these three days in Bologna, designers, architects, public administrators, installers, technicians, managers, constructors and operators in the hospitality sector met to take stock of the latest technological innovations and construction news regarding swimming facilities, swimming pools, spas, thermal baths and play pools. From those included in residential and autonomous contexts, to structures housed within wellness centers, hotels, touristic villages, spas, resorts, camping and theme parks.

Among the most interesting initiatives of ForumPiscine 2020, there was the Smart Pool: in its European premiere, it’s the first system designed to be completely self-sufficient, eco-sustainable and safe, aiming to offer a concrete response to the imperatives of water and energy saving. In the heart of the Expo, the Smart Pool took shape, on a 1:1 scale, thanks to the collaboration of 16 partner companies that have supplied and installed components and accessories coordinated by the engineer Mario Giovannoni, internationally renowned expert in the pool and spa sector, author of over 350 projects in 35 years of activity.

Over 80 exhibitors from all over Italy and abroad (Germany, France, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain and the United States), have combined their presence with the organization of technical workshops and live shows, a format introduced in this edition of the fair, consisting of practical demonstrations of installation and application of products and / or operation of devices and instruments. A major contribution came from the exhibitors for the realisation of the Innovation Area, dedicated to the presentation of the most innovative products with high technological vocation. News and future prospects were also discussed within the rich congress programme, with events of great scientific and thematic relevance promoted with the contribution of ENEA, IAAPA, Federterme, INAIL, Istituto Superiore della Sanità, University of Rome "Foro Italico "And Federazione Italiana Nuoto. The event prepared the groundwork for common initiatives of great interest and potential benefit for the sector.

As per tradition, ForumPiscine has been an occasion to reward Italian excellence in the swimming pool sector. The Italian Pool Award prizes were won, for this edition, by Studio Ladesign for the Outdoor Residential category, Preformati Italia for the Outdoor Commercial category, the Architect Alberto Apostoli for the Indoor Commercial category, Milla for the Bio-pool category, and Dauniacold for the Facebook Special Prize category.

Enhanced by the excellent results, ForumPiscine will meet international aquatic operators and professionals from 17 to 19 February 2021, at Bologna Fiere, for the 13th edition of the Expo.

ForumPiscine 2020 was organized by Editrice Il Campo in collaboration with BolognaFiere, with the valuable contribution of the Premium Partners Dantherm Group, Gerit, ICS-Istituto per il Credito Sportivo, Piscine Laghetto, Polimpianti, Renolit and Tasco and the Partners Enviroswim Europe and Team System. The event was sponsored by Aiapp, Anif-Eurowellness, Assopiscine, Federterme, FIN, IAAPA-The Global Association for Attractions Industry, International Pool & Spa Press Alliance, the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Bologna Metropolitan Area. The 2020 edition of the show was finally recognized as an "Italia in Classe A" event, a training and information campaign by the Ministry of Economic Development and ENEA, the National Energy Efficiency Agency.
