Second National Report on Energy and Water Consumption in Swimming Pools  

This survey is the second document produced by the Observatory established by ForumPiscine to monitor energy and water consumption in swimming pools open to the public. It is the result of an agreement signed with FIRE, the Italian Federation for the Rational Use of Energy, and a collaboration with CONGEPI, the National Confederation of Swimming Pool Managers. This report, presented at XLeisure 2026, presents and elaborates the data collected through the survey conducted in the winter quarter of 2025-2026 among public swimming pool managers. The aim is to identify strengths and weaknesses, best practices in energy and environmental matters, and areas for improvement to make Italian swimming centers increasingly efficient, competitive, and sustainable.

First National Report on Energy and Water Consumption of Swimming Facilities 

This survey is the first document produced by the Observatory established by ForumPiscine to monitor the energy and water consumption of swimming pools open to the public. It is the result of an agreement signed with FIRE, the Italian Federation for the Rational Use of Energy, and a collaboration with CONGEPI, the National Confederation of Swimming Pool Managers. This paper summarizes the findings of the survey conducted among public swimming pool managers in the last quarter of 2023, with the aim of identifying strengths, weaknesses, and best practices in terms of energy and environmental issues.
