The prize for the Italian swimming pool
The prize
The Italian Pool Award, instituted by the magazine Piscine Oggi and launched in 2010, is an official recognition founded to highlight the excellence of the Italian swimming pool industry. Every year, the Italian Pool Award is given to well-designed and well-built projects that stand out for their technology, design, integration with the environment and attention to water and/or energy savings.
There are six award categories:
- Outdoor residential pool
- Indoor residential pool
- Commercial outdoor pool
- Indoor commercial pool
- Biopool
- Facebook Special Award
- Outex Special Mention
Based on the applications received, however, the categories are subject to change (see details in the regulation).
All the pools in the competition will be the protagonists of a photographic exhibition, set up during all 3 days of ForumPiscine, freely accessible to all visitors to the event.
The participation
Participation in the Italian Pool Award is free and open to all the Italian professionals and operators.
The competition is addressed not only to professionals in the sector, such as companies, builders, technical offices, designers and architects, but also to private owners of residential and commercial swimming pools (resorts, wellness and fitness centres, spas, holiday farms, etc.).
Winners and Award Ceremony
The jury, composed of, but not limited to, professionals from the industry analyze the material provided by each candidate (kept anonymous throughout the evaluation process) and then express their vote based on a series of parameters.
The pools that reach the highest score for each category will be awarded at ForumPiscine and will receive, in addition to the parchment, the prestigious bronze ladder-statuette, designed by Osvaldo Casanova and built by the ancient Merighi Arte Foundry in Bologna.
Furthermore, the candidate will also be published on Piscine Oggi's Facebook page, thus allowing web users to elect their favourite, that'll receive the Special Facebook Award.
